Unusual Behavior

I've had this Huawei Watch for just about 2 months now.

I have received a notification to "Buy Napkins".

This has happened twice; The second time just happened a few minutes ago.

I checked Agenda, the Apple Calendar, Apple iCloud Reminders, and did a search on the phone for "Buy Napkins" and nothing shows up.

After a few minutes it goes away and I can't find a way to bring it back.

Gremlins?

mrw folder deletion

Hi I just got finished using kingroot and superSUme to root my phone, (post on how I did this here) http://ift.tt/1PinIkQ and have already used superSUme to remove Kingroot and replace with superSU now that that is all done my question is do I have any use for the mrw folder that was installed without losing root or do I have to leave it?

TWRP v. CWM

I think you'll find that TWRP is probably more current, up-to-date and has more features nowadays...

Checking the ROM Manager recoveries list page do not show the most current devices being built with CWM (that is not to say that there are not new recoveries being built with/for CWM, they just don't look like their being publicized).

I've even seen Chainfire making references to TWRP vs. CWM...

Cannot send pictures even when I have Cellular Data on.

- For a while, I've been unable to send pictures to people I text. Most of the pictures I send aren't large texts. They're just small pictures or sometimes Id send pictures to a friend of mine that missed classed and Id simply write the homework for her to know what we have due Monday.

- I couldn't do that. I would be given the "Not Sent. Touch to Try again" message, and I can be tapping it a hundred times and nothing happens.

- And even when I turn on my Data, nothing positive ever happens. I'd just get the "Sending" Like it is saying in this picture(http://ift.tt/1XAeXE1). And after a couple of seconds, Id get the "Not Sent, trying again". (http://ift.tt/1PUbPnk)

- The type of phone I have is the Samsung Galaxy S6 [IMG]

----

- Please help me as sometimes its difficult and frustrating to not know exactly whats doing this or preventing me from sending pictures to family or friends or classmates.

- Merci and I appreciate your time in helping with my situation. Good day

NEED HELP PLZ!!!!!!

Malware survives factory reset

I have a cheap phone, Onix bought from an Aldi store, running Android 5.0. For a month or so, it has been fine, but lately it became unusable due to pop-up ads. After trying a few different virus checkers (Avast, AVG, Norton, Avira) finally one, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, detected a problem, in a system file /system/app/OP_GoogleSearch/OP_GoogleSearch.apk.

This is found on a scan, and also the real-time detection, everytime an ad pops up. Trying to uninstall it fails (because it is a system file?) Anyway, nothing to lose, I did a full factory reset. After a reboot, I put my Google account in again, but told it to do a new setup, clean - i.e. no previous apps restored.

Very soon after, up pops a window claiming to be from airpush, and asking if I want to opt out. I say yes, but it comes back a few more times, and the other pop-up ads start again. I install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and it finds the same malware as before.

So, has the malware found a way to install itself in the factory image? I think, at this point, the phone is junk, because, being an unknown brand, I can't even root it, and/or install a custom ROM.

Nope and altering the IMEI of any device is illegal so it's not something we can assist with, sorry.

If it's been blacklisted, your best bet is to contact your network and ascertain if it's blacklisted due to an unpaid bill or if it's been stolent, you can contact the police.

Sorry you've been ripped off, but there's nothing much else you can do.
