My story is rather simple. When viewing certain pages on Chrome for Android (legit ones, like pcgamer or metacritic) I'm being redirected to another website with your garden variety "you have virus pay us money to have it cleared". I'm on Lollipop FWIW.
I tried looking up the web for solutions but I've come up with pretty much nothing. Noone seems to have the same problem as me. I've also downloaded some antivirus software and Malwarebytes' Antimalware and both say my phone has no problems.
Are there any resources concerning this? I mean, how exactly does it work, how do I trace and remove it? I've done this with many malware/ransomware bits on Windows devices but I'm completely new to Android's inner workings.
