Hi there
First time poster here, bear with me if this question has been answered, I just can't find it. And if I'm even asking this in the right place.
Quick back story, I'm google, consequently android, all the way. Always have PCs, and always use google's services. My devices are the nexus 5, and nexus 7 (2013).
As I'm sitting here typing this, my nexus 5 is sitting dead next to me. Just won't power on. For sure it has charge. For good measure, I plug it in. Leaving it plugged in for over an hour, all it's doing is vibrating, going to the google screen, then shutting off, rinse and repeat every 2-3 seconds.
Here's my dilemma. I'm with sprint, eligible for upgrade, for a few months now, hoping the nexus 5x will come. Why not just get the 5x from google's play store and pick a carrier you, might ask... ahh, well. I'm currently paying $20 for unlimited data, as part of a family business plan.
I am not in a place where I can cough up $400 at a phone right now, and there's no more time to wait for a 5x to be sold by sprint anymore. Essentially, I'm restricted to upgrading to any phone that costs 99 cents up front. This includes Galaxies 6 (not sure the exact model), and Iphones.
Well, I don't want any other android phone, because I want vanilla android. It's way too annoying that I can't delete the facebook app from the LG G4 I tried. What the heck?? Why can't I just delete it?? And I'm just not a fan of the Galaxy. I do have the HTC One A9 or the HTC One M9 available, I've read mixed reviews, but it's still not vanilla android.
This leaves me with Iphones. I've used a mac computer maybe 3 times in my life, and an Iphone another 3-5. When I try to use my girlfriend's, it only ends in frustration.
Which finally leads me to my question (so sorry for the long post). How google can I turn an Iphone if I was going to sell out, for the simple fact that I can get it for free. How easy is it to integrate google's sphere into an Iphone, if at all possible.
Thank you for any responses, bring on the Tl;Dr's
