Kitkat unrootable say it ain't so

KitKat can't be rooted is a pretty broad, factually incorrect statement.

Whilst some devices might be unrootable, there are more than a few KitKat devices by most of the major OEMs that have attained root.

Also, in OS terms, KitKat is 2 generations behind so you'd probably be better off looking for a device running Lollipop if it's within your budget.
