Nexus 5X or Samsung S6 (Regular)

Hello everyone.

So i'm really stuck between choices here, and i need your honest opinion.

I broke my Nexus 4 a while ago and now its time to choose a new phone for the road, as far as i'v researched and looked into things, i'v narrowed my research down to two phones, either the Nexus 5x or Samsung Galaxy S6 (the regular one).

What do i do on the phone?
I Don't game, the main apps i use are:
Instagram, Camera, Gmail, Google Docs, Google Keep, Youtube (heavy use), Chrome, Spotify and thats about it (facebook trough a browser, since it drains the battery like a drunk if you have the app). Some few apps here and there but No Gaming.

I really care about the camera, and the video. Being a musician, you always record small clips of live shows with your smartphone, and the biggest flaw from the nexus 4 was the sound quality, everything gets distorted, although if you record a live show with lets say LG G4, iPhone 5, the audio is superb and thats something i want out of a new phone.

The main reason why im leaning towards the 5X, is the fact that its vanilla, its got USB-C, fast charging, a kickass camera and front facing speakers. But the Samsung right now in my area has a offer that roughly will cost around the same ammount as the 5X. I've never used a samsung, but all the reviews are going bonkers over the S6.

So my questions:
Off of the things what i do with the phone, which one would you recommend for me?

And which one would you pick for the next 2 - 3 years?
