Screen flashes on then off

So recently I've had a problem with my phone that it was stuck in a continuous boot loop. It's the 2nd time it happened. The first time, I came here and found a solution; to press down on the power button a few times until it gets unstuck and loads fine. This time, however, that didn't work. I ended up taking it to a few technicians who said I'd need a new power button. I went for more input and some guy said I needed a new charging port. But strangely enough, my phone never really had any problems charging. I just had to slightly tilt the charging up by the port for it to charge, but it was nothing major. He took apart the phone and removed the charging port, but after I changed my mind and he put it back in, the continuous booting stopped. However, not the display is acting funny. When the phone turns on, I can see the first 'Samsung' logo flash on, then the 2nd one. But they only appear for a split second each. Then the screen goes dark, then it comes on. I know it's on because the backlight by the home button and back button are on. When I press the power (lock) button to turn it off then on again, the screen flashes for a split second and I can see the lock screen, the background, everything you'd normally see, but it doesn't stay on. When I took it to the second guy again, he said it will most likely need a new screen. Also, it doesn't vibrate when it restarts now. At all. And it doesn't make the noise that lets you know the phone is charging, though it does light up for a split second then goes off again. Does anyone know if it's an entirely new screen that I need? If it is, I'm thinking I should just get a new phone and be done with it.
