Everything is good now. I used MxMulti Tools and so easy to root and install a new patch kernel. Only problem I ran into with it is I never could get it to recognize my phone for the adb commands and just flashed SuperSU manually. Running the latest Pure Nexus MDBO8M and everything is running smooth.
